New, Improved S•O•S Fuel Analysis

Halton S•O•S Services is now offering a new multilevel fuel analysis program. This program will address the growing needs of our emergency power generation customers to have a more comprehensive, annual analysis of their diesel fuel that is subject to the challenges of long term storage. We will also offer packages with a reduced number of tests for those customers with the need to monitor their fuel quality more often. And lastly the program will offer improved turnaround time to allow a quicker response in the event the fuel requires additional attention or even replacement. Halton's S•O•S Services philosophy on emergency power fuel management is to help the Facility Manager minimize or eliminate the risk of fuel related operational issues when the generator is called upon for emergency standby power.

The multilevel program begins with a basic Level 1 "pass/no pass" analysis with the fuel distillation, microbial growth and appearance tests. This entry-level approach to fuel analysis can serve as a basic measure of fuel condition. Abnormal results would indicate the need for additional testing. Level 2 analysis will add dissolved water by Karl Fisher and flash point to the Level 1 package. The first two levels are intended to serve as a "maintenance" or "wellness" package for customers who require more frequent fuel analysis during the year.

S•O•S Fuel Analysis Level 3 and Level 4 packages are intended to answer the need of a comprehensive annual emergency power generator inspection program. Level 3 builds upon the Level 2 package by adding stability/accelerated aging and fuel sulfur testing.

Our S•O•S Fuel Analysis Level 4 package is modeled to meet the strict standards of the Joint Commission for Hospital Accreditation (JCHACO). This package is highly recommended for any "mission critical" operations where there is a high risk of an adverse financial or life support impact if emergency power systems fail to function. Level 4 is the most comprehensive analysis and adds cetane index, API gravity, copper strip corrosion and sediment/water testing to the Level 3 package.

Halton S•O•S Services is committed to providing Legendary Customer Service. We welcome your inquiries about this fuel analysis service, oil analysis, coolant analysis and other condition monitoring services.
