SOS Services

Halton's S.O.S Services provides a solid foundation for an effective preventive maintenance and condition monitoring program. It is an integral component of our Customer Support Agreements for our Premier Advantage Heavy Equipment CSA program and our Power Watch Power Solutions CSA program.

Thermal Imaging Inspections

Thermal images are a cost effective technology to evaluate equipment conditions by revealing temperature variations that signal electrical and mechanical problems before they become failures.

Diesel Fuel Polishing

Extend the life of stored fuel by reducing formation of gums, sludges, and deposits that plug fuel filters. Includes CAT Diesel Fuel Conditioner and/or polishing with high efficiency kidney loop filtration.

Megohmeter Testing

A Megohmeter Test ensures the integrity of your generator’s insulation and identifies any decreases in your generator’s epoxy capacity, saving you from a major repair bill or replacement of the generator. The test includes:

• Inspection of generator windings and insulation for wear and debris
• Verify overall generator efficiency and conductivity
• Inspect and verify insulation integrity and consistency

Vibration Analysis

Vibration testing pinpoints vibration failures that may occur in your engine or generator. Vibration testing can be used as preventative maintenance at 12-month intervals, in combination with generator load testing.
